The Eleusinian Mysteries and the Myth of Demeter and Persephone (Kore). College Of Isis Booklet
Tucson, AZ: College of Isis/Isis in Arizona Foundation, Publisher, 1990. Wraps. Good. Item #022866
Single stapled booklet, 8 ½ by 11 inches. 10 leaves, including cover. Printed on single sides only. A publication giving historical information on "Eleusinian Mysteries and the Myth of Demeter and Persephone" and the spiritual practices that originated with those myths. Includes a page discussing the significance of those myths and several pages devoted to introspective questions. An application for membership in the Fellowship of Isis is also included. The Fellowship of Isis was founded in 1976 in Ireland by Olivia Robertson as a spiritual practice devoted to Goddess Isis and an awareness of the Divine Feminine. Some have considered the Fellowship of Isis to be a pagan religion, although as the founder noted, all religions and beliefs are welcome in the organization. No information on the Isis in Arizona Foundation could be found, although we speculate it was one of many branches of the Fellowship that opened in the United States. GOOD condition. Some creasing and curling at the corners. Minor toning.
