Muhammad Speaks was a newspaper published by the Nation of Islam, founded by Elijah Muhammad and providing coverage of current events and news relating to African-Americans and the African-American community, ranging from international topics to covering the successes of school children in school. Many issues document the Civil Rights struggle, including police brutality and violent examples of white oppression. This issue with a piece by Elijah Muhammad; news on Ronald Reagan being willing to see bloodbaths on college campuses in California if students protest; news of government surveillance in Black communities, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper. Some bumps and creases along the top edge and corner.
