Sepultura Navidad 1989 Concert Poster with Mortuary de Monterrey, Tormentor, Anarchus and Damned Cross. Sabado 16 and Domingo 17. Arena Lopez Mateos. Tlalnepantla, Mexico City, Mexico.
Mexico City: Edge Entretenimiento, Publisher, 1989. Unbound. Good. Item #022808
Single sheet, folded. 26 ¼ by 22 inches unfolded. Newsprint style paper. Printed on a single side only. Most of the paper is a photo of Sepultura, with their name across them. A concert poster for the influential heavy metal/thrash metal band from Brazil, Sepultura. Formed in 1984, the band broke through internationally with their third album release in 1989, Beneath the Remains. This concert was part of a tour promoting the album. This was the first time Sepultura played in Mexico, and the show gained a bit of legendary status. As former Sepultura drummer Igor Cavalera noted on the Blabbermouth website, the opening band blew out the PA in the arena, so the lead singer had to plug into a guitar amp. Despite the technical difficulties the show went off fantastically, with a pit and headbanging galore. GOOD condition. Fold creases present, as issued. Moderate browning to the paper.
