Dark brown cloth, both volumes in homemade dust jackets. 353, 229 pp., plus ads for other books at the front and end of each volume. An historical novel chronicling an episode in the history of Scotland. Written by Grace Aguilar, and published posthumously. Aguilar was an English poet, essayist and novelist, with her most known works relating to positive portrayals of Jewish history and religion. GOOD condition. Both volumes in homemade paper jackets that are somewhat soiled, chipped, torn and worn. Minor soiling, fading and edgewear to the books themselves, having been saved wear by the jackets. Small wormhole in the lower front hinge of the second volume, affecting the first 25 pages to varying degrees. Both volumes with moderate to heavy foxing throughout, as well as minor soiling.
