The Cleveland Tribunal. Vol. 2 No. 1. Feb 1-15 (1968)
Cleveland: Cleveland Tribunal, Publisher, 1968. Tabloid. Good. Item #022711
Side folding tabloid newspaper. 12 pp. Illustrations and photos throughout. An early underground newspaper from Cleveland, Ohio, preceded slightly by the Buddhist Third Class Junkmail Oracle. Combining retro steampunk style fonts and layout, the paper embraced both radical politics and counterculture, while claiming it was providing a neutral forum for the presentation of ideas. On a whole, the paper does seem reminiscent of the Buddhist Third Class Junkmail Oracle. This issue with somewhat psychedelic covers, including a full page ad on the rear cover for a Cosmic Leprechaun Love-In on March 17. Interior with articles on parents dealing with college kids, a piece on North Vietnam, an artsy centerfold combining word and image, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate uneven toning. Minor wrinkling and tearing along the edges. Faint fold crease present. Minor ink smudges in a few places.
Price: $75.00
