Side folding tabloid newspaper. 12 pp. Illustrations throughout. Begun in 1967 by Russ Nobb and others, its original intent was to cover the Summer of Love and its influence on people of the West Coast (and elsewhere). It evolved over time to cover antiwar issues and countercultural concerns such as drugs, etc. It published until 1970, then changing to the name Provincial Press and publishing until 1972. This issue with several pieces on the Black Panther Party, including in Seattle and the abuse of Black Panther member Joan Bird at the hands of police. Also present are reviews of concerts by Three Dog Night and Steppenwolf. GOOD condition. Moderate toning. Paper slightly brittle. Very faint horizontal fold crease present. Minor wear to the extremities. Mailing address, stamp and cancellations on the top front cover.
