no date, presumed 1968 based on dates in the paper. Tabloid newspaper format, a single sheet folded into 4 pages. With a few illustrations. Perhaps a one off sort of underground press publication, issued by the Detroit chapter of the National Organization of Women. According to the editorial on the front, the South End, a paper published at Wayne State University, published an article on women and issues facing them in American society but spent most of the article discussing women's sex live and their relationships to family, and embraced and perpetuated stereotypes as well. Thus the Detroit NOW published this rebuttal paper, including essays and letters highlighting the vast inequality in America between men and women. NOW is a feminist organization working for women's rights and equality. It was founded in 1966. GOOD condition. Paper very brittle, with many tears along the extremities. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate toning. Some creasing and wrinkling.
