African People Are A Nation Behind Bars! Genocide Was On the Ballot and Won by a Landslide! Free Fred Hampton Jr. Event Flyer.

Philadelphia: National People's Democratic Uhuru Movement, Publisher, 1995. Unbound. Good. Item #022557

Single sheet 14 by 8 ½ inches. Printed on both sides. Black and white photo present depicting several young Black men in handcuffs sitting on a curb with police looking on. A flyer for a community forum held on March 16th, 1995 in Philadelphia. The forum was to discuss the latest crime bill before US congress, and how it would disproportionately affect the Black community. The forum would also build a campaign to free Fred Hampton Jr. and Mumia Abu Jamal from prison. The reverse of the flyer gives short, but detailed talking points on how the US government was targeting "African Communities," as well as urging organizing to support Black Power. Speakers included Pam Africa, Ramona Africa, Anditu Siwatu, Kamau Becktemba and Alison Hoehne. Sponsored by The National People's Democratic Uhuru Movement, an organization founded in 1991 as an arm of the African People's Socialist Party, helping to organize for that organization. GOOD+ condition. Minor staining along the left edge. Some wrinkling and creasing. Slight curling at the corners.

Price: $100.00
