New York World's Fair (1939) Radiogram Greetings to Points in the United States. RCA promotional Booklet

No Place: Radio Corporation of America, Publisher, 1939. Unbound. Very Good. Item #022524

Single sheet, folded into roughly 6 by 3 ½ inches, making 4 pages. Front cover purple and orange with a simplistic Art Deco design. A booklet issued by RCA promoting their Radiogram communication service, which allowed people to communicate wirelessly. While it had been offered since the 1920s, this marked the debut of wireless communication to a larger audience. People could choose from a list of 25 different messages to send to others within the United States. RCA was busy at the 1939 World's Fair in New York, also debuting the first commercially available television, featuring a broadcast from Franklin D. Roosevelt. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning and edgewear, with a hint of curling at the corners.

Price: $15.00
