A short piece printed to commemorate the rebuilding of the Church of Belleau, sponsored by the Yankee Division (26th US Division of US Army). The booklet provides a brief description, along with photos of the battles fought by the Yankee Division against the Germans in World War I in Belleau, France. This includes photos of the bombed village buildings, some photo of distant soldiers in action, etc. Flowery prose about the Yankee Division abounds. FAIR condition. Front wrapper essentially MISSING, with most of its surface either peeled off or torn off along the top half. Chipping, tearing and creasing present along the wrapper edges. Some toning and uneven soiling.
