Bologna, Italy Homeless Occupation of an Abandoned House on November 16, 1984 Awareness Flyer
Bologna: No publisher, 1984. Unbound. Fair. Item #022365
No publisher. Presumed Bologna, Italy, 1984. Single sheet, 13 by 8 ½ inches. Printed on a single side. All text in Italian. A flyer citing the "brutal" round up, by police, of homeless people who were occupying an abandoned building in Bologna, Italy. 12 people were taken into custody. The flyer appears to depict a police station, with a hammer and sickle image at its lower right. The flyer calls for the continued fight to guarantee the right to autonomous social spaces and a redistribution of income. It also mentions an event every Tuesday at the autonomous social center, "Casa Gialla." Our research did not turn up any specific news event associated with this flyer, although it seems to us to be associated with the long and varied anarchist movement in Italy, perhaps along the lines of Marxist Autonomism. FAIR condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present. General moderate to heavy wrinkling and creasing to the piece, with some toning. Extremities rather tattered, torn and worn, with minor loss. Some tearing along the fold creases. The flyer looks just as any anarchist would expect. Awesome!
