no date, mid 1970s based on the 240 Mercer Street address. Single sheet, 8 ½ by 11 inches. Printed on a single side only. A typed flyer from The Kitchen, an avant-garde and experimental art venue originally established in 1971. It was created by Steina and Woody Vasulka, artists who decided to rent the kitchen of the Mercer Arts Center to show their work. They then collaborated with others to open the space to other artists with a show held on June 15, 1971. This flyer is from a March 31st Video Concert featuring Alan Powell, Laurie McDonald and Dennis Hlynsky. GOOD condition. Remains of thick foam like tape on the upper corners of the reverse. General toning. Minor staining. Some wrinkling and creasing. A few small tears along the edges.
