Glossy wraps. 56 pp., including covers. A few illustrations throughout. Memorial issue, put together by Bridge's wife after his death, of this magazine created by Allan Bridge (Mr. Apology) as an outgrowth of the Apology Project, a conceptual art piece he began in 1980. Using the new technology of the time, an answering machine, Bridge created a phone line where people could anonymously call in and leave apologies for something they had done. Over the fifteen years the line was in existence people confessed to infidelity, murder, drug dealing, etc. The magazine itself printed transcripts of taped apologies, as well as interviews Bridge conducted with some of the people who called in that he found interesting. Allan Bridge was an American artist who was known for his use of technology to create conceptual pieces based around morality. The Apology Project spawned a novel, a film, and a podcast, although it was cut short when Bridge was killed in a diving accident in 1995. This issue marks the first time Bridge's identity was revealed publicly. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning, rubbing, soiling and wrinkling to the covers.
