New York: The Kitchen, Publisher, 1973. Unbound. Good. Item #021887

Single sheet, 17 by 11 inches. Printed on a single side only. A flyer from The Kitchen, an avant-garde and experimental art venue originally established in 1971. It was created by Steina and Woody Vasulka, artists who decided to rent the kitchen of the Mercer Arts Center to show their work. They then collaborated with others to open the space to other artists with a show held on June 15, 1971. The lists a day by day description of events and screenings spanning the month of May, 1973 and mentions presenting artists such as Nam June Paik, Eric Siegel, Stephen Beck, Alan Powell (from whose collection this came), Ed Emshwiller, Doris Chase and others. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present, with minor creasing and wrinkling. General toning. Minor offsetting/discoloration with a small area of dampstaining along the lower left edge. A few small tears along the edge. Tape scars evident on the reverse, with slight bleed through to the front.

Price: $100.00
