(New Haven): no date, perhaps 1970. Single sheet, newsprint. Approximately 23 by 16 ½ inches. A newsprint poster, perhaps issued as an insert in a paper, with images of Black Panther Party members Ericka Huggins and Bobby Seale. The poster advertises a rally to be held in New Haven. This relates to the trial for murder and kidnapping against Seale and Huggins. The charges were eventually dismissed after the jury deadlocked and the judge found it would be impossible to find an unbiased jury. REALLY POOR condition. Folded horizontally and vertically, with the piece SPLIT in two along the vertical fold. Heavy chipping, tearing and loss along all extremities, including large loss of text along the lower edge, and some loss at the former intersections of the folds. Paper toned and very brittle.
