Fourth edition, stated. Full calf leather. 688 pp. With a few illustrations, all present as called for. An account of the author's year long trip to Europe, recalling his impression of life and culture in the various countries, as well as the history of some of the places he visited. Wilbur Fisk was an American Methodist minister and first president of Wesleyan University. He undertook took this European trip in 1835 as a way to recover from a respiratory illness, and he did work along the way to acquire books and instruments for the university. GOOD condition. Heavy scuffing to the leather along the edges, with some scuffs and scrapes to the covers. Minor spotting and soiling. Interior hinges cracked but holding. Some doodles and notes on the endpapers. Scattered foxing throughout.
