Tabloid newspaper format. 32 pp. Multicolor printing throughout, as well as photos and illustrations. Third and last issue of this newspaper serving the White Panther Party as led by John Sinclair. The White Panther Party was formed in solidarity with the Black Panther Party, hoping to help lead anti-racist causes and events, including the release of political prisoners and the persecution of Black Panther Party members. The party also advocated for the legalization of marijuana, especially important as John Sinclair had been incarcerated for possession of two joints. This issue features a lengthy piece by John Sinclair addressing Woodstock Nation; an interview with Pun Plamondon (cofounder of the White Panthers) while living as a fugitive; a piece by Tom Hayden; a piece on the White Panther Party, and one on the Red Panthers of Germany, etc. GOOD condition. Faint fold crease present. Moderate toning. Minor soiling and staining. Minor chips and tears along the extremities and hinges. Mailing labels and stamps on the upper front cover.
