Soul Unlimited Lounge Dance and Show Featuring the Bar-Kays. Thurs. Dec. 30 Show Poster.
Indianapolis: ABC Graphic Press/Tribune Press. Unbound. Very Good. Item #021736
no date, perhaps early 1970s. Single sheet, thin cardboard stock, 26 by 17 inches. Printed in red and yellow with a small inset photo of the band on the left side. A promotional show poster for a performance of the Bar-Kays at Soul Unlimited Lounge on 1439 Commerce Avenue. No city is mentioned. The poster mentions their songs Black Rock and Montego Bay, both of which were released circa 1970, perhaps indicating this poster is from the early 1970s. The Bar-Kays formed in 1967 in Memphis, and were originally a backing band, backing artists such as Otis Redding. Their first hit was Soul Finger. In the early 1970s the group reimagined their sound and became a successful funk band. VERY GOOD condition. General toning along the edges. Extremities a bit bumped and scuffed.
Price: $300.00
