Illustrated wraps. Small folio. 60 pp., plus empty pages for names and addresses. Black and white photos throughout. A roster and short account of the actions of the 50th Parachute Infantry during World War II. The unit participated in the D-Day drops, and lost just over 1,000 men (of just over 2,000) during that operation. They went on to participate in the Battle of the Bulge and other battles before the war ended. This includes an honor roll listing the men lost in action, and what region they were in. Photo of Sonja Henie as honorary colonel also present. FAIR condition. Large portion of the lower front cover corner torn off and MISSING. Moderate staining and soiling to the covers, with some curling, creasing and wrinkling. A few tears along the edges. Minor wear in the interior.
