New York: The Saint, Publisher, 1987. Unbound. Good. Item #021493

(1987). Single sheet, thin card stock. 8 ½ by 5 ½ inches. Green paper with fuchsia and white lettering. Small inset photo of the Thompson Twins, and one of Noel, present. A promotional handbill for events at the legendary gay NYC nightclub, The Saint. The Saint opened in 1980 in the old Fillmore East building. Founded by Bruce Mailman, the club operated for most of existence as a members' only venue, and earned a reputation for the parties held there. The club closed in 1988, partly due to the toll the AIDS epidemic took on the LGBTQ+ community. This handbill may be the epitome of the 1980s, hair coloring and the Thompson Twins. That's pretty much what we remember from the 80s. GOOD+ condition. A few small scratches to the paper, with minor scuffing and fading.

Price: $65.00
