Satyrday. April 1968. Volume 3, Number 1.
Toronto: Satyrday/Andrew Mikolasch, Publisher, 1968. Wraps. Good. Item #021460
Side folding newsprint journal. 16 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. A somewhat obscure underground newspaper from Toronto, covering left wing and radical politics along with counterculture subjects. While adhering to movement ideals, its editorial tone had a realistic take, with this issue's editorial discussing the futility of "dropping out." Of note is an essay written by Charles Bukowski, that first appeared in Open City, titled "Hey LeRoi..." in which he ponders the work and activism for the Black community, through the interactions with a white woman liberal. GOOD+ condition. General toning and minor wrinkling to the paper. Address label and stamp on the upper front cover.
