Miniature book, measuring 2 ½ by 1 ¾ inches. 8 pp. A work providing brief descriptions of the birth stones for each month and their significance. Perhaps issued as a promotional advertisement booklet for jewelers, as the name of the jewelers Herman S. Hewett and Co. of Brockton, MA, appears on the reverse. The publisher is considered an innovator in postcard design, creating a variety of moveable postcards in the late 1800s to early 1900s. GOOD+ condition. Uneven discoloration/fading to the covers. Minor edgewear.
