no date, perhaps circa 1952. Single sheet, 33 ¼ by 23 ½ inches. A German language, color printed map of the United States, featuring small illustrations depicting points of interest, cultural items, places where crops are grown, natural resources, etc. Three small inset maps at the bottom depict rail lines, airline routes and major roads. Perhaps issued at the behest of the Department of State as a subtle counter to Soviet propaganda. The map was issued in many languages. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present, as issued. Some wrinkling and creasing. Minor staining and soiling along the right side. A few tiny tears along the edges at the folds.
