The Last Times (Issue 1)
San Francisco: Vortex Printers, 1967. Tabloid. Good. Item #021318
no date, 1967. Tabloid newspaper format. 16 pp. Black and white illustrations and photos throughout. According to an interview with Plymell, somewhere around 200 to 300 issues were printed of this debut. First issue (of two total issues) of this important, but obscure, underground newspaper edited by Charles Plymell. While appearing in form to be an underground newspaper, editorially it was much more in line with the mimeo and little magazine genre. This issue contains "Day the Records Went Up," by William Burroughs; "Television was a Baby Crawling Toward that Deathchamber," by Allen Ginsberg; "Notes From a Dirty Old Man," by Charles Bukowski; and "Head Comix," by R. Crumb. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor wrinkling and creasing. Minor toning and soiling, with a few small tears along the edges and lower spine.
Price: $1,000.00
