Vox Magazine #4
Dublin: Dave Clifford, 1980. Wraps. Good. Item #021260
Illustrated wraps. 11 ¾ by 8 ¼ inches. 24 pp. Black and white photos throughout. Created by Dave Clifford, Vox was a rather polished zine from Dublin, Ireland, that ran from 1980 to 1983. It ranged from the usual reviews, interviews, etc., of punk, postpunk and other acts, to more philosophical takes on music and the intersection of music and art. Of note is a letter from Dave Clifford to someone (on Vox letterhead) discussing his meeting with Genesis P-Orridge in London "last week" (letter dated 19 June 1981) where G.P. informed him of the demise of Throbbing Gristle and Industrial. G.P. apparently discussed his direction going forth, along with other tidbits. This issue has a continuation of an interview with the members of Throbbing Gristle, along with a piece on the Threats, Pulp Music, PIL, etc. GOOD+ condition. Minor toning and wrinkling.
