No photographer, place or date. Presumed late 1800s. 8 by 6-inch photo mounted on a 9 ½ by 7 ½ inch cardboard backing with beveled edges. Reverse has "South Berwick" handwritten in pencil. A view of what we believe is the Cummings Shoe Factory in South Berwick, Maine, with a fence in the foreground, a white house next to the factory, with a massive amounts of boards/planks stacked around it. GOOD condition. Minor general toning. Minor soiling to the cardboard around the photo. Small pencil mark in the right border. Reverse has a large glue spot about center.
