This included physical cause of blackness and African hair, as well as the cause of "Black degeneration." Each essay includes headnotes discussing the text, with the documents representative of the origins of the concept of race, and anti-Black racism and colorism in the West. VERY GOOD condition. Minor soiling and scuffing to the jacket. Light fading and edgewear to the book.
