Bound volume of this monthly magazine including letters by William Tecumseh Sherman to his brother; "The Million Pound Bank Note," by Mark Twain; two poems, "The Answer," and "The Gipsy Trail," by Rudyard Kipling; as well as reminiscences of Brook Farm; Chicago anarchists of 1886; the Great Wall of China; a piece on "Gipsyland" in Philadelphia; female humorists; studies of "Indian" life; the kindergarten movement, etcetera. GOOD condition. Leather scuffed along the extremities, spine and hinges. Corners bumped. General fading and minor to moderate soiling. Text block toned. Interior front hinge cracked, with a blank endpaper perhaps missing.
