A work on morals as interpreted by Jesuit theological teachings, written in part to rebut Pascal's Provinciales where he attacks Jesuit theology. By Georgio Gobat, a French Jesuit theologian, as well as a teacher of humanities and moral theology. GOOD condition. Slightly ex-library, with a few faint institutional stamps on the first several pages. One inch split at the lower front hinge of the spine, resulting in some of the backstrip peeling off. Brown ink in this area, with a few small streaks of ink to the covers. Minor general soiling and scattered staining to the covers. Four small wormholes in the lower edge of the covers. Scattered foxing in the interior.
