The Los Angeles Rebellion Against Racism
New York: World View Forum, Publisher, 1992. Wraps. Very Good. Item #018854
Illustrated wraps. 21 pages. A short work issued by the Movement for a People's Assembly, an organization formed in late 1992 to address issues of racism and poverty in the United States, among other issues. This work addresses the protests that grew out of the Rodney King verdict in Los Angeles in 1992. It looks at the double standard of media coverage of the protesters, where the media portrayed the protesters as criminals or agitators. It also addresses racism and police violence against Black and other people. VERY GOOD condition. Minor uneven toning and fading to the covers. Light wrinkling and edgewear.
