no date, circa 1941 to 1945. Single sheet, 40 by 30 inches. Printed in red, white and blues. A motivational poster issued by the US Navy, quoting Admiral Ernest J King, who was at the time commander in chief of the US fleet, and who urges "make every minute count we have no time to lose!" Beneath a large photo of, presumably, Admiral King standing alongside a member of the US Navy are the slogans "avoid time off! and "avoid time out!" Beneath this is the quote "don't slow up the ship." Small print indicates this was issued by the Incentive Division of the US Navy, with the alphanumeric sequence S-8-11M. FAIR condition. Stored rolled thus curled. Several large tears at the upper left corner and top edge with many small tears, chips and creases along the lower left edge. Minor loss to the upper left corner. Other small tears, chipping, and creasing present along the extremities. A center horizontal fold crease present. Minor toning and soiling. A small puncture present near the upper left corner. Several creases and wrinkles present to the poster with some appearing to just be starting to tear.
