Includes two pieces by John Muir, "Snow Banners of the Californian Alps," and "Snow Storm on Mount Shasta," both illustrated; an account by Henry Elliott on ten years in Alaska; General McClellan discusses The Regular Army of the United States; a lengthy article on the magician Robert Houdin, including illustrations of some of his stage tricks; an illustrated article on the White Mountains of New Hampshire, etc. GOOD+ condition. Minor fading and soiling to the covers. Minor scuffing to the extremities. Small white paint spot to the front center hinge. Moderate toning in the interior.
