Brothers. The Diggers Have a Hotel. Three Floors Event Flier.

San Francisco: The Diggers, Publisher, 1967. Unbound. Good. Item #018500

Single sheet, 8 ½ by 11 inches. A flier issued by the left wing, anarchist group, the Diggers, soliciting for help to rehab a building to bring it up to code so it could serve as a hotel and meeting/function center for the Diggers and their friends. One was to "ask for Bob Fuller, looks straight but ain't" to be assigned chores. The hotel was envisioned to have sack out places, free movies, acid rescue, dream life for street orphans, etc. The Diggers performed street theater from 1966 to 1968 in the San Francisco area, and served as local activists in the community, often providing free medical clinics and free food. The group hoped for a money free society, publishing a variety of broadsides and leaflets on their cause. GOOD+ condition. Two hole punches at the top edge. Minor toning.
