Issued by Street and Smith, a publisher of dime novels. This issue with part of "The Western Boy; or the Road to Success," by Horatio Alger Jr., part of the serialized version that was eventually published in book form in 1878; "The Linden Farm Bride," by Margaret Blount, etc. FAIR/GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present. Heavy chipping, tearing, creasing and some loss along the edges, resulting in a rather tattered look. Pages unopened along the top edge. Some chipping and tearing along the folds, resulting in creasing and loss of text at the intersection of the folds. Minor soiling and toning.
