The Boston Groupie News. Issue 13

Cambridge, MA: Miss Lyn, Publisher, 1977. Wraps. Good. Item #018284

Side folding wraps. 8 ½ by 11 inches. 8 pp., including covers. Black and white photos throughout. Started anonymously as a gossip rag in 1975, Miss Lyn continued to issue the Boston Groupie News from issue 2, working anonymously (although people in the Boston scene suspected it was her). Miss Lyn offered an inside look at the music scene in Boston, especially the punk and new wave acts in and around the city, providing often acerbic and witty commentary on the bands and the scene. It is still in existence today, as an online venue (Boston Groupie News website for a history, etc.). Issue 13, being the first issue with a full cover photograph. With an interview with Willie Alexander, reviews of singles by the Sex Pistols and the Modern Lovers, etc. GOOD+ condition. Minor toning. Two faint vertical fold creases present.

Price: $100.00
