Side folding tabloid newspaper. 28 pp. Illustrations and comix throughout. An issue of this influential underground, counterculture newspaper from England. Founded in 1966, it published until 1973, encountering various attacks and persecution by police and other law enforcement officials. Paul McCartney helped finance its publication. This includes Mike Moorcock comix, "The Adventures of Jerry Cornelius, Part II;" some discussion of the Peoples' Park protests in Berkeley, various left wing social commentary; an interview with Pete Townsend of the Who, two ads mentioning a Led Zeppelin concert at Royal Albert Hall, (including a full page ad on the rear cover of Pop Proms announcing the various acts to play at the Royal Albert Hall during June, mentioning Fleetwood Mac, among others) etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate browning. Minor soiling. Some wrinkling and creasing, with a chip missing from the upper center fore edge of the front cover.
