No Place: No publisher, 1971. Unbound. Good. Item #018012
No publisher, place or date. Cambridge, MA: 1971. Single sheet, 8 ½ by 11 inches. Peach colored paper. Small photo of Guru Maharaj Ji (Prem Rawat) in the lower center. A flier for an event held at the MIT Student Center on February 18, 1971. While Prem Rawat is the focus of the flier, the fine print indicates it was his disciple, Mahatma Ji Fakiranand who was to speak. Fakiranand gained some notoriety after a 1973 incident where journalist Pat Halley threw a shaving cream pie in the face of Guru Maharaj Ji. Fakiranand was accused of subsequently beating the journalist with a hammer, although the story has fluctuated over time. The flier features a mantra/aphorism at the top, and urges people to "Please come-what can you lose but your unhappiness?" GOOD+ condition. Minor fading, wrinkling and creasing.
