New York: Realist Association, 1973. Wraps. Good. Item #017819
Side stapled journal. 8 pp including covers. Single issue of this journal, founded in 1958, becoming a key publication in the underground press, often using satire and subversive humor to critique American mainstream politics and culture. Founded by Paul Krassner, an American author, and member of the Merry Pranksters (as well as a founding member of the Yippies) [see Wikipedia]. This number mostly devoted to an expose on the practices of Scientology, in a lengthy article "The Awful Truth About Scientology." The piece discusses the organization's efforts at mind control of its adherents, as well as the prospect that Scientology is just a money-making scheme. GOOD+ condition. General toning and minor wrinkling.
