no date, presumed late 1800s. Printed wraps. Small, square booklet. 8 pp. With a black and white reproduction of a painting by J.A. Goodwin on the inside front cover. Presumably a promotional booklet for Buswell's Bookstore in Montpelier, Vermont, which also sold artists' supplies (according to the front cover). Goodwin discusses the basics of color combinations to make new colors, as well as the very basics of color theory. GOOD condition. Horizontal crease to the booklet, with other wrinkling and creasing. Minor soiling and toning. Several small stains to the covers, including a small dark circular stain. Paper toned in the interior.
