Side folding tabloid newspaper. 36 pp. The Gay People's Chronicle was founded in 1985, originally focusing on the gay community in and around Cleveland, Ohio, but expanding its distribution to serve parts of Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. It ceased publication in 2015. This issue with articles on politician Barney Frank being called a gay slur by republican Dick Armey; a piece on a member of Des Moines school board coming out as gay at a meeting in which a proposal to teach tolerance of lesbians and gays in classrooms was dropped (he wore a bulletproof vest at the request of law enforcement); a few short pieces on HIV/AIDS, etc. VERY GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor toning.
