No publisher, place or date. Perhaps Russia, circa 1960. Single sheet, thin paper stock. 46 ¾ by 33 inches. An untitled promotional poster for the 1960 Soviet (Russian) film based on an 1899 story by Anton Chekhov. The film and story follow Anna and her dog, on vacation in Yalta, where she begins an affair with another man. Both married, they return to their married lives, only to rekindle their affair once home. The film was directed by Iosif Kheifits. GOOD condition. Some staining to the upper left corner of the poster, with a few other small stains and areas of light soiling. Minor chipping, tearing and creasing along the extremities, with the upper left corner rather tattered and worn, with some loss (possible mouse damage?). A few minor wrinkles and creases.
