Side folding tabloid format newspaper, with the front cover depicting various countries where "US Imperialism" is in trouble. 12 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. Single issue of this underground newspaper embracing radical, left wing and socialist causes (with a Marxist-Leninist bent). Originating as the Temple Free Press at Temple University it evolved from a college newspaper to a radical paper under the editorship of Bill Baggins. This issue with two pieces on protests in New Haven over the trial of Black Panther Party leader Bobby Seale; a short piece on an alleged "race riot" in Kensington, which, by the newspaper accounts, served as nothing but a dog whistle for white supremacists and violence prone police; several pieces on campus protests against the Vietnam War, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper. Horizontal fold crease present.
