Jet was noted for its documentation of the Civil Rights movement and the murder of Emmett Till. This issue with various pieces on Black politics, including the reelection of Carl Stokes; Black boycotts in Memphis, in an effort to gain greater control and input in school affairs; the sentencing of Black Panther Party leader Bobby Seale, etc. Politics, sports and fashion also included. GOOD condition. Mailing label removed from the front cover, lifting off the top surface of the cover in that area. General toning, minor soiling, scuffing and wrinkling. Some scuffing, creasing and curling along the extremities.
