A look at the symbolism of flowers/flora, citing use in poetry, mythology and other sources. Includes those such as the rose, weeping willow, celandine, basil, broom, etc. Illustrations by Charles Terry. GOOD condition. Front cover mottled and unevenly faded, with some discoloration perhaps due to water exposure. Minor scuffing. Some bumping, fraying and scuffing to the extremities. Interior hinges cracked but intact. Text block weak but holding. Paper slightly toned. Some pages stained from old floral samples laid in (some still laid in). Several illustrations with their tissue guards detached or missing.
