Readings on Poverty

No Place: Students for a Democratic Society. Pamphlet. Good. Item #016570
ISBN: noisbn

No place or date. Perhaps Ann Arbor, MI, mid 1960s. Side stapled booklet, 8 ½ by 11 inches. 8 pp. A pamphlet, "Our Invisible Poor," by Dwight Macdonald intentionally stapled to the first page. A piece prepared by the Students for a Democratic Society for distribution, and perhaps use, by the National Student Congress. Using previously written information, with opinion, this essay looks at poverty in the United States, including its causes as rooted in economics and industry, and potential remedies. With a pamphlet also looking at the poor in the US. Presumably an early publication by the SDS, an organization founded in the 1960s that embraced left wing ideals and sought through activism and education, to realize those goals. GOOD condition. Moderate uneven fading and toning to the covers. Minor soiling. Some wrinkling and creasing.

Price: $35.00
