Alphabetically arranged encyclopedia type work on chemistry and related topics, with contents including gold, opium, perfumery, photography, pottery, etc. GOOD condition. Heavy scuffing and fading to the covers, with some loss of paper and superficial loss of leather. Smallish ink stain on the rear cover. Minor soiling. Heavy bumping and scuffing along the extremities. Interior solid. Heavy foxing to the endpapers. Large gift inscription on the second endpaper.
