Jet was noted for its documentation of the Civil Rights movement and the murder of Emmett Till. This issue with a cover story on O.J. Simpson; a short piece on Dick Gregory and Reverend Abernathy's call for an investigation of the FBI surrounding their handling of the assassination of Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., suggesting that the FBI sought to discredit King, etc. Politics, sports and fashion also included. GOOD condition. Mailing label on the front cover. From the collection of Zelma George, who served as an advisor to President Eisenhower's administration, an alternate delegate to the UN General Assembly, and served on the executive council of the American Society of African Culture, among various other roles. General toning, minor soiling, scuffing and wrinkling. Some scuffing and curling along the extremities. Handwritten date on the front cover.
