Pamphlet, lacking any wrappers issued. 53 pp. A sermon reflecting on religion and what role Christians should play in the society of the United States. Followed by a report from the Maine Missionary Society, giving an alphabetical list of missionaries, where they worked, and comments on their work, in their own words. All appear to have been working in various communities throughout Maine, some lamenting on the lack of religion in various towns. Treasurer's report included, as well as a list of life members. GOOD condition. Lacking wrappers. Some foxing and toning to the paper. Several notes in pencil to the front cover, with one in old ink.
