A New York based underground newspaper founded in 1968, known for its coverage of far left organizations and causes and militant stance on social and political issues. This issue with news of an encounter of police and people at St. Mark's in New York; Stanford University protests against chemical and biological warfare; Some news on the Vietnam War, a full page illustration perhaps by the group Up Against the Wall/Motherfuckers; the comix "Ed Niemand Reality Agent;" etc. With a yellow rat centerfold illustration/poster. FAIR condition. Paper very brittle, with the first several pages bearing long tears along the fold crease. General browning, minor foxing and soiling to the paper. A few small dampstains present. Some chipping to the extremities, with minor creasing.
