Side folding tabloid newspaper format. 12 pp., including covers. Illustrations throughout. In Arcane Logos appears to have come about after dissension and mistreatment of staff of the Word (based on an introduction in this issue). While somewhat restrained in tone, the paper published pieces on black liberation, women's liberation/feminism and articles reprinted from other underground papers. This issue presenting a pastiche of short columns, poems and other writing on a variety of subjects. This includes a reprinted piece by Mel Lyman "To Those Who Would Know." Mel Lyman originally gained fame as a folk musician, but was also known for his leadership of the Fort Hill Commune (or cult, depending on perspective). Short news on New Orleans politics, the ACLU, the newspaper's finances, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper, with minor chipping and tearing along the extremities. Diagonal fold crease present. Corners creased.
